Hi Karen – Mr T has indeed found himself a new home. If you want to email your details to info@reversegarbage.org.au we can contact you should anything else similar come in.
Hello, do you sell newspaper off cuts of paper? If so, how much are they and do you deliver?
Thankyou
Hi Marina – we don’t sell newspaper off cuts of paper unfortunately sorry. We do have rolls of white blank paper however if that’s of use to you? Thanks RG.
Hi do you sell much fabric? I will be needing some cheap for making costumes soon. Thanks
Hi Chloe – Our prices vary for bolts of fabric depending on quality and length, but generally you’re probably looking at up to $40. We also have an area in our ‘bag area’ section where you can fill a recycle shopping bag full of fabric for $5. For other lengths and pieces we will price them accordingly or our counter staff will be able to price them for you. Many thanks, RG.
Hi, can you please tell me if you have any solid timber pallets at the moment and their price?
Cheers
Nela.
Hi Nela – we do have pallets at the moment – wooden ones are $10
Kind regards, RG
Is there anything similar available to us in Melbourne, Victoria?
Hi Cathryn, there’s no Reverse Garbage in Melbourne unfortunately. However, some reuse tips can be found at: http://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/FORRESIDENTS/WASTERECYCLINGANDNOISE/Pages/Reuse.aspx
Hi do you have school rates?
thanks
Theresa
Hi Theresa, in terms of school rates do you mean for our Creative Reuse Education Workshops? If so enquiries can be made to education@reversegarbage.org.au
hi i am currently doing an interior design course and was told that you guys do sample fabrics for a cheap price. Also as i live near the gold coast is it possible to get samples mailed?
Hi Laura – We certainly do have sample fabrics available, we also have an interior design pack which contains useful samples. The pack is 8kg for $40 + p/h. Alternatively we can organise to send you just some fabric samples. If you’re able to please give us a call on 02 9569 3132 and one of our staff will be able to arrange a quote for you based on your requirements. Many thanks, RG
Hi. I was wanting to drop off some items and was checking your website to seeing you have a restriction re donation times. Would a Sunday be OK?
RECYCLING USED BED MATTRESSES
Also, I am not not sure if you are aware that Mission Australia recycle used bed mattresses into punching bags, and will pick up! Very excited to have donated ours this week. You might like to investigate this as a link on your page. Randwick council provide the service as part of the road side clean up service, other councils might too.
Cheers
Natalie
Hi Natalie – thanks for the message. Sundays our backdock is closed and it can be quite difficult to drop things off because of the Sunday Markets (the main street into the centre is closed off). Monday to Saturday until 4pm would be the best time. Thanks for the info about mattress donations – we have one group listed on our ‘Items we can’t accept’ page called Soft Landing, a Mission Australia initiative which recycles old mattresses. Cheers, RG
Hi do you have any red or blue electrical wires, extension cables etc? My daughter needs some for an art display
Hi Barbara – we do have some cords in our tool room – for example the blue networking cables. If you ask our counter staff they will be happy to help and point you in the right direction
Hi do have old coloured pencils, roughly how much?
Hi Alice – we have coloured markers and coloured gel pens at the moment for $1 a pack (of 4).
Hi,
Was wondering if you’re carrying any second hand doors at the moment? Standard size door frame front or back doors would be perfect we are looking for 3 of them colour isn’t an issue as they will be repainted, also by any chance would you be carrying any barn doors? It’s a long shot but I thought I’d ask.
Thanks heaps
Hi Rusty – we sure do! Lots of wooden doors in a variety of styles – standard doors and sliding doors. Unfortunately no barn doors, but we have wooden flats you could use to make some. Cheers, RG
Thanks so much for that, I’ll high tail it in there before the end of the week, I love a shopping spree!
MWAH!
Hi, I was wondering if you had any large photo/art frames without the glass or wooden backing? What are the prices for these?
Hi Sarah, we certainly do, prices vary depending on size but prices start from $10. Our counter staff will be only too happy to show you our frames and help you with pricing. We look forward to seeing you soon! RG
hello there
i am wondering if you have knitting yarn and at what price?
Hi Ingrid, we do have knitting yarn, some donated as new and are usually priced from $2 up. Thanks, RG
Hi, just wondering if you guys had any old metal clock parts (cogs and other clock mechanisms) and if so, roughly how much? Thanks!
Hi Stephanie, we do get some clock parts from time to time. Our front counter staff normally price per bulk amount if small parts, or if an actual clock per item – you’d probably be looking between 50 cents to $5. It’s best to come in and check as clock parts do move quite quickly. At present we have lots of metal rings, buckles and belt parts which may be of interest? Thanks, RG
Hi, i was just wondering if you have any manniqins that are on a stand i need a cheap one as i need one to do my year 12 HSC major in art? thanks.
Hi Katie – we certainly do. If you ask our front counter staff they will be able to find one for you. Look forward to seeing you soon. RG
Hi – I have about 15 binders (mostly lever arch files) and a whole lot of fabric – maybe 4 – 5 garbage bags full, fairly large pieces and in good condition. Will you accept these if I bring them over?
Thanks
Allison
Hi Allison – thanks for your message – we’d be happy to take your donated items, our address is 8/142 Addison Rd, Marrickville. Thanks for your support!
G’day RG.
Would you be so kind as to inform me on the status of your leather stocks?
Your leather will be put to good use in a Commedia del Arte mask, if you do have some for sale.
Kind regards,
Lachlan Stewart
P.S. Sorry, I forgot to tick the email notifications box. If you’d be so kind as to moderate this post up and the previous post to the recycle bin, I would be much obliged. Lachlan
Hi Lachlan, we currently have small leather off cuts at the moment. We do receive large leather pieces from time to time, but none at present. We will all announce on our facebook page when leather arrives as we know it’s very popular. Our Facebook page is at: http://www.facebook.com/RevGarb and can be viewed without needing a facebook account, or alternatively from the right side bar of our homepage. Regards, RG
