On Thusday 13 December, Rev. Bill Crews and friends from the Exodus Foundation hosted a Pre-Christmas ‘End Loneliness Lunch’ for those in the local community who are homeless and in need. Organised jointly with The Addison Road Community Centre, the Exodus Foundation provided a bbq lunch to visitors as well as a ‘goodie bag’ of food supplies and a ‘doggie/cattie’ bag for those with pets. Kindly donated by the RSPCA NSW, the pet goodie bags contained pet toys and Hills Science Diet food, to keep pets and their owners healthy and happy.
Reverse Garbage spent the morning busily decorating the event with reuse furniture and Christmas decorations in order to give visitors a fun and colourful setting for their Christmas lunch.
“We’d like to thank everyone for such a fun day in the sun, sharing stories and ending loneliness,” said Reverse Garbage CEO Narelle Mantle.
Merry Christmas!
