Posted @withregram • @artistmelissacarey Come wi Posted @withregram • @artistmelissacarey Come with me on a behind-the-scenes tour of where I find my art supplies and materials for my art installations, using re-used and un-used things that people donate here that are too good to throw away, and I turn them into beautiful artworks!

Let’s reduce landfill and be mindful of what we use so we can look after Mother Nature.

Thanks to @reversegarbage for having me for a 4 day art residency. Check out my previous posts to see what I created for my 2 recent art installations called “The Illuminated Forest”!

Posted @withregram • @acadia.creates Posted @withregram • @acadia.creates #sewingproject I made a bag!

It was my partner’s birthday yesterday so I can finally properly share the hilda bag I made for him. The fabric and hardware is from @reversegarbage, the lining is scrap linen so it’s all reclaimed materials except for the pannier clips, which proved hard to source second hand, luckily @omafiets pulled through with some fancy new ones. Fun tag from @fivespicepower to remind the universe that no falls of bikes are happening anytime soon.

I added a few internal pockets and thickened the straps a little bit but apart from that it’s @mademywardrobe ‘s excellent pattern.

This was my first time working with leather which was a little learning curve but it worked out in the end. My straps were too thick to sew down entirely in some places but they’re all attached and that’s what matters.

Also for todays entry to me made may I’m wearing the #vikisews_adeline and #shinesaxistank
