Festival drop-in workshops and artist activations
Throughout the year, Reverse Garbage presents Creative Reuse drop-in workshops and artist activations at community events and festivals around Sydney and regional New South Wales. We can create a workshop tailored to your theme while always having the opportunity to educate the community about waste, reuse and recycling.
We get wonderful regular support from Randwick, Blacktown, North Sydney, Inner West, Central Coast and Wollongong councils and we would love to come to your next community event.
RG Children’s Parties
Organise your birthday party in our creative party room in Marrickville and we’ll run a zero-waste party for your group
I’d highly recommend this as a group activity, the nine 8 Year olds thoroughly enjoyed the experience, learnt how to cool their wrists like kangaroos and were super proud when showing their creations to their parents!

Here are some theme ideas but feel free to give us your!
- Cardboard Costume: medieval knights and dragons, robots, vehicles, horses, wings, mask etc. out of reused cardboard boxes, and other cardboard items.
- Make and Wear: Hats, Masks, Capes, Jewellery, general reuse costume items
- Creator Club craft challenge: open ended creation with crazy reuse craft materials
We cannot offer any food or kitchen facilities in the Re-creation room space but you are welcome to provide your own food. We are zero waste and reuse so please only bring reuse cups and plates, limited packaging and take any waste away with you.

Corporate events and Team building activities
Challenge your team to a zero waste hands on maker activity that will promote creative thinking and problem solving. It might be stasrt of year event to get new teams together or an end of year celebration of success and achievement. We have loads of ideas and you will know that you are doing something environmentally friendly, zero waste and sustainable. We can arrange the RSA if you need one too.

Artist activations
Our amazing super talented artists could design, develop and deliver an incredible community artwork or installation that involves many generations. We’ve recently been involved with Sydney Biennale, Sydney Fringe and Musica Viva’s Family Festival. Get in touch.

No-Sew Costumes & Props workshop
Our talented artists will bring the materials and the tools and assist you to make amazing no-sew costumes and props for your drama club or event.
