ReConsidered – Visible Mending Workshops
Following on for the Inner West War on Waste Festival your guide Kim will show you how to repair and embellish your clothes and home wares to extend their lives.
Join us for either Monday evening or Thursday morning lessons for three weeks from 4 September 2017. The workshops are designed to be stand-alone if you are unable to commit to all three sessions

Thursday mornings at Manmaru Cafe, 495 Marrickville Rd, 9.30am: Visible Mending Workshops Thursday AM Thursday 7, 14 & 21 September 2017
Workshop one – Patching and Stitching
Monday 4 September 7.30pm or Thursday 7 September 9.30am
Bring along some favourite items from your wardrobe which need some TLC and learn how to patch and stitch them so they look better than new (and definitely unique).
Workshop two – Patchwork Patches
Monday 11 September 7.30pm or Thursday 14 September 9.30am
Learn the fundamentals of making miniature hand-pieced patchworks which can be used to patch or embellish your clothing and home wares.
Workshop three – Old School Patches
Monday 18 September 7.30pm or Thursday 21 September 9.30am
Learn the art of making classic, old-school embroidered patches with your own customised embroidery design and reinforced edges.
Materials for all workshops (except for your clothing in need of repair) included in the cost of the workshop.
