Whole School Bookings

Our passionate educators are here to help with fun, hands-on craft activities that also highlight valuable lessons on sustainability and zero-waste building.

We offer a wide range of creative options—from open-ended sessions like our Creator Club and Kooky Characters to more focused projects on topics like robots, animals, and native flora.  All craft workshops explore low waste joining methods that don’t use glue or tape, which is an engaging challenge for students of all ages.

For even more imaginative and adventurous fun, we can set up Loose Parts Play at your school, encouraging students to explore risk-taking and creativity through play. This program is a great way for classmates to make some memories together.

Depending on your school’s set up we can spend the day in a hall while classes come to us, or we can change between rooms. Our team is happy to work with you to tailor a project to your school needs and work with you to iron out the logistics.

Workshops

Creator Club

This program leans towards free exploration of a range of materials that could be found around the house as well as Reverse Garbage exclusive industrial offcuts. Students lean into their imaginative skills to make their very own creation to take home – we’ve seen everything from bugs to rocket ships to jewellery get made. Our educators will assist students in techniques to connect different types of materials from tying, pining, and re-using stickers in place of conventional glue and tape. This program is intended to get students thinking about all the items in their lives that could be repurposed into interesting art projects.

Kooky Characters

Students get a little silly in this workshop as they imagine and make a kooky character to take home. Our re-use materials sourced from industrial discards and can inspire some truly crazy creations. Students think through how they can express a personality through the available materials and test their problem-solving skills as they work without glue to piece it all together. This workshop has a strong emphasis on Zero waste making, encouraging students to make careful decisions about how they use materials.

Giant Loose Parts Play

One of our foundational programs, Loose Parts Play is an open-ended play experience that supports students’ development of risk management, self-confidence, imagination, and communication skills. We bring our van of open-ended play materials such as PVC pipes, buckets, banner, and so much more to your centre. Once set up in an open space we’ll give the kids a brief run down about how all our play materials have been reclaimed from landfill and how to use them safely before setting them up to explore. Watch as children repurpose items, making bands, boats, and ball games over the course of the session.
