By 2030, Reverse Garbage will be financially strong and in a permanent location. We will be a leader in the circular economy and building community wealth by sharing knowledge to inspire people to live more sustainably.

Our impact

2020-2030 Strategic Plan

Reverse Garbage remains true to its roots by serving and sharing knowledge with our local community to create a more sustainable world. We provide donors of materials with a re-use option that is often their only alternative to landfill. We have a significant social impact through a range of community programs; sponsorships; fundraisers; and support to local community initiatives annually.

In addition, we participate in a range of government programs including Community Service Orders; Work and Development programs and various school programs. We provide an unrivalled and unique retail experience that inspires creativity and resourcefulness. We have an expanding sustainability education program through partnerships with early childhood, primary, secondary and the tertiary sectors. We are leaders in Professional Development programs and innovative initiatives such as the ‘loose-parts’ play program. We have a recognised reputation for being there with creative solutions when the community needs us, most recently making over 2000 face-shield kits, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
