Our Tertiary School Workshops

TALK, TOUR and MAKE.
Duration: 2-3 hours
Venue: only available on-site at Reverse Garbage
Subjects: We can tailor a session to suit the context: education, art, sculpture, jewellery, millinery, upholstery and furniture, textiles, design, technology, education, interior design, drama or photography.
Introduce your students to the innovative and inexpensive possibilities of sustainable reuse materials. In this session, students will be introduced to reuse materials and given tips and tricks on how to work with items that were originally designed for a different purpose.
Students will be given a brief introduction to the warehouse and Reverse Garbage, and then set free in the warehouse with plenty of time to discover and collect materials.
We can tailor this to your needs, just let us know what your focus is.

Creationary
Duration: 2-3 hours
Venue: available on-site at Reverse Garbage or at your place
Subjects: Collaboration, creativity, and sustainability.
Foster collaboration through creative reuse! Our educators will start off the workshop with an in depth look at the waste crisis in Australia and how transition to a circular economy can lead to a sustainable future. Students will then get hands on with reclaimed materials with a fun twist on Pictionary, where they will work in small groups to make something crazy as a team. This blend of discussion and play is a great way to foster connection and kick start conversation about sustainable choices.
