Designed especially for pre-schoolers, these workshops are an opportunity for your 3-5’s to investigate, hypothesize and experiment with novel materials – all while developing their fine and gross motor skills. Our current workshops for toddlers and pre-schoolers are Music Makers, Paper Weaving and Loose Parts Play. We can also customise one of these workshops if you have a particular theme in mind.
Not only are our workshops incredibly fun and encouraging but they also align with the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. We guarantee a playful and inclusive experience with warm and engaging educators that support the 3-5’s to feel like they belong to a curious, creative and co-operative community with a practical sense of respect and responsibility for the environment.

Our Early Learning Workshops
Music Makers
Duration: 60 minutes
Where? Our place or yours
Age: 3 – 5 years (this workshop uses small parts that may be unsuitable for younger children)
Capacity: Up to 25 participants per session
Turn junk into musical instruments and make yourself heard! Children are given the opportunity to investigate all sorts of reuse materials and test them to make interesting sounds. Children will develop an understanding of sound generation and basic construction skills while they make a shaker that rattles and rolls wherever it goes.
Paper Weaving
Duration: 60 minutes
Where? Our place or yours
Age: 3 – 5 years (this workshop uses small parts that may be unsuitable for younger children)
Capacity: Up to 25 participants per session
Practice cutting and weaving skills in this workshop designed especially for our youngest learners. Our educators will bring a range of papers for kids to explore and pick out their favourite colours before cutting the sheets into strips to use on a simple weaving board. This is a fun way to introduce sustainability to young learners as our educators tell them a bit about how to take care of this planet. With a focus on practicing their fine motor skills, students will make a reuse artwork of their own to keep at the end of the session.
Loose Parts Play
Duration: 45–60 minutes
Where? Your place – this workshop is ideal for a playground or large indoor space like a school hall
Age: suitable for ages 3+
Capacity: Up to 25 participants per session
One of our foundational programs, Loose Parts Play is an open-ended play experience that supports students’ development of risk management, self-confidence, imagination, and communication skills. We bring our van of open-ended play materials such as PVC pipes, buckets, banner, and so much more to your space. Once set up in an open space we’ll give the kids a brief run down about how all our play materials have been reclaimed from landfill and how to use them safely before setting them up to explore. Watch as children repurpose items, making bands, boats, and ball games over the course of the session.
Our giant kit of loose parts are reuse materials that can be moved around, put together, taken apart and rebuilt. Loose Parts Play sessions promotes social, active play, stimulates the imagination and inspires innovation, creativity and collaboration.
We can provide your students with an open-ended Loose Parts Play session or present them with a group construction challenge such as building a bridge, transporting an endangered animal or any other scenario that supports your learning goals.
It works with every age group and keeps them engaged for hours.
