All Workshops
Parents attendance
Children participate in most of our classes and workshops without parents and carers in attendance.
Please notify us if you wish to attend with your child. Additional fees may apply. Arrangements can be
made for parents to stay during our Zero Waste Birthday Parties subject to space.
Personal belongings and utilities
Reverse Garbage is not responsible for damage or loss of personal items. We recommend that
valuable items are not brought to our classes. We recommend that workshop participants of all ages
wear appropriate clothing and covered shoes while attending all our classes and birthday parties.
Toilets and a kitchenette are available onsite for use during your workshop period
Our public programs are mostly facilitated by independent artists and makers who we are lucky to
collaborate with to hold workshops in our education spaces here at Reverse Garbage. We make an effort to only endorse and host workshops that align with our core values of sustainability, low waste, reuse and
reduction. As these workshops all have a reuse element and use reuse materials, some of our workshops are a one off opportunity designed around unique materials as they arrive. Due to the bespoke nature of our materials and expertise of our artists we are unable to offer refunds if you cancel a class. We are also sometimes unable to offer transfer to a later date as we can’t always guarantee that the artist will be running another workshop of this type. The running of these classes relies on a certain amount of class participants to make them feasible for the artist facilitating the class. Last minute cancellations can jeopardise the ability to run the class so please double check dates and times before booking a session.
If you chose to cancel a place in a workshop up to 7 days prior to the workshop commencement, we are able to offer a 50% refund. If we are able to offer the place to another workshop participant, we will are to offer a full refund less a $25 administration charge. If you choose to cancel a place in a workshop within 7 days of its commencement are unable to offer a refund.
Workshop cancelled by Reverse Garbage
In the event that a class is cancelled by Reverse Garbage workshop participants will be notified as
early as possible via text message, email or phone call and will be entitled to a full refund, transfer or credit (credit to be used within 12 months of cancelled workshop).
Reverse Garbage runs classes that involve art, sewing, crafting, making with and using of tools. There
are risks associated with participating in our classes. You agree to take full responsibility for any
injuries and/or damage to personal property which you/your child might incur while participating in
classes and/or events organised by Reverse Garbage. Please read our age recommendations for
classes and only enrol your child if you feel they have the skills/dexterity to participate.
